The House will vote today on a continuing budget (CR) resolution that will fund Federal government operations through Dec. 20, pay for a 3.1 percent annual pay raise for military personnel, and provide funding to the Department of Commerce for 2020 Census work.

Under the previous CR funding bill agreed to in late September, funding for the Federal government is set to expire on Nov. 21.

“We must use this additional time to fully fund the government before the end of the year,” said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., in a social media posting late Monday.

The Census-related item in the CR provides funding so that the Census Bureau continues an annual rate of operations totaling $7.28 billion, and specifies that not less than $90 million will be used for delivery of mobile questionnaire assistance centers.
