Lynne Weil is leaving Capitol Hill to join Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET). At CSET – a research organization “focused on studying the security impacts of emerging technologies, supporting academic work in security and technology studies, and delivering nonpartisan analysis to the policy community” – Weil will serve as director of external affairs. Most recently, she served as press secretary to the communications director for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Prior to her work in the House, she served as a State Department senior advisor.
