The Government Publishing Office (GPO) on Thursday named Tracee Boxley as the agency’s new chief information officer.

Boxley will be responsible for managing the agency’s IT budget and overseeing the agency’s IT policies related to acquisition and operation of IT systems. Boxley replaces Chuck Riddle, who is moving to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

“Tracee’s institutional knowledge of GPO and IT systems makes her a natural asset in overseeing the agency’s IT operations,” said Davita Vance-Cooks, director of the GPO. “I look forward to working with her as GPO continues to transform and expand our IT technologies and services.”

Boxley has worked at the GPO since 2006 as a senior customer advocate for IT and deputy CIO. Boxley was also the deputy CIO and Chief of the Technical Services Division at the Food Nutrition Service (FNS) and director of IT operations for the Office of the Secretary of the Army.

At FNS Boxley managed a $50 million IT budget and oversaw security for software application design. At the Army Boxley maintained three computer operations. She also worked with the U.S. Air Force CIO by developing a platform for employee data.
