Apple announced on Wednesday that the company will allow users in the United States to download the data that Apple has collected about them–a feature previously only available to citizens of the European Union. The feature, initially created to comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements, allows customers to download all information Apple has collected, including transactions with Apple’s App Store and its applications such as Apple Music and Apple Maps. Apple’s redesigned privacy site touts other privacy features from the company, such as not selling data to third parties.
