SolarWinds Products Achieve SCCS Certification

SolarWinds, an IT management company, announced Tuesday that multiple products, built to accommodate Federal projects, achieved certification under the Common Criteria with the Spanish Common Criteria Scheme, an international standard for computer security.

Intel Unveils Cryptographic Isolation for Data Centers

Intel announced Tuesday that its cryptographic isolation technology is now available for data center usages, which will allow application developers to protect select code and data from disclosure or modification.

DHS S&T to Host GPS Jamming Event

The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate announced it will be hosting a GPS jamming event April 17-21. At the event, companies that manufacture GPS equipment used in critical infrastructure will be able test their products in lifelike scenarios. The Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville, Ind., will host the event, which is to be the first in a series of testing opportunities.

FAA Extends EAS Contract With SkyWest

The Federal Aviation Administration extended its Essential Air Service contract with SkyWest Airlines through Jan. 31, 2019. SkyWest, based in St. George, Utah, will receive an annual Federal subsidy of up to $3,924,019 to provide 13 round trips a week, seven to Minneapolis and six to Detroit. The previous subsidy was up to $2,970,122 annually and also funded 13 round trips a week. SkyWest has served as FAA’s EAS carrier since 2012.
