We’re pleased to kick off TMF Forward with Congress’ leading technology voices. Hear from Congressman Gerry Connolly, Chairman of the Government Operations Subcommittee, and Senator Gary Peters, D-MI, from the U.S. Senate. These key players will address how they plan to support future Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) funding, and the significance of the fund for a resilient Federal government.
As Congress and the Administration push to accelerate government IT modernization, agencies are pursuing the support and funding they need to advance this priority endeavor. Enter the Technology Modernization Fund, a key resource available to agencies as they drive forward long overdue IT modernization projects. This keynote session will review the value of the fund, how agencies can tap into it, priority projects, planning efforts, and what’s on the horizon.
The recent Cybersecurity Executive Order (EO) includes significant and ambitious new directives for Federal agencies, from migrating to the cloud to shifting to zero trust architectures. Where to get started? In this session, speakers will share how leveraging the Technology Modernization Fund is one avenue to meet the mandates laid out in the Cyber EO and offer guidance for jumpstarting projects.
As the core of focus for government IT teams, modernizing high priority systems can seem like an arduous effort. From decades-old systems to outdated user applications, the infrastructure of many agencies is crumbling and the impact can be severe. What is the right approach? This session will address agencies’ unique IT operational requirements and challenges and offer a real-world example of an agency that will utilize TMF to implement zero-trust solutions to manage their high-priority data.
According to recent MeriTalk research, 88% of American citizens want the government to prioritize improving data security and privacy over many other issue areas. Congress and the administration couldn’t agree more. However, legacy government IT systems and software supply chains are increasingly threatened by cyberattacks, and it’s imperative that agencies accelerate progress in strengthening their security postures. In this session, speakers will address how TMF is instrumental in improving and modernizing cybersecurity technologies for a more secure America.
The growth of digital services across the Federal government has skyrocketed – particularly as the pandemic required agencies to accelerate digital modernization efforts. While agencies have done a tremendous job at keeping up with the demand, there is always more to do. As emerging technologies provide new opportunities for digital transformation, the push for modernization in this area is not out of reach. In this session, we will discuss the elements of digital transformation within the Federal government, and how agencies can leverage the Technology Modernization Fund to deliver better digital experiences for their government constituents and citizens.
The TMF Board has spoken: Incorporating opportunities for government-wide initiatives are the kind of proposals they like to pursue. To achieve mission-alignment, agencies must implement technologies that are not only impactful for their own organizations but can also scale Federal-wide. Join this session and hear from the experts on how to design plans that promote collaboration in multiple agencies and build a foundation for the success of the entire Federal government.
To close out TMF Forward, we will hear from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as they share their insights on the developments of the Technology Modernization Fund and provide direction to agencies seeking to leverage the fund.
