The Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has promoted Nick Lewis to serve as the agency’s new chief information security officer (CISO).

According to Lewis’ LinkedIn, he started the new role in June after serving as HRSA’s deputy CISO since August 2020. As deputy CISO, Lewis provided supplemental support to the CISO and was responsible for incident response team enhancement.

Prior to his time at HRSA, Lewis served as an IT specialist at the Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Research Service for over three years. He has also served as a senior cybersecurity engineer at Apextech and the Society of Research Administrators International (SRA International).

Additionally, Lewis served as a senior information systems analyst at Lockheed Martin Information Technology for almost four years.
